The USS Heimdal and
Heimdal Science Fiction
The USS Heimdal has a real-world presence that allows us to conduct charitable outreach and receive tax-deductible donations to support those efforts. This charitable arm is Heimdal Science Fiction, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

For Starfleet purposes, we are the USS Heimdal.
For business and IRS purposes, we are Heimdal Science Fiction.

Heimdal’s Space Camp Program
Heimdal’s Space Camp Program
Our signature program sends a local middle school student to NASA’s Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. We’ve been sponsoring students annually since 2009 and have sent 17 students to date.
The Space Camp Committee distributes packets to participating middle schools. Interested students submit essays explaining why they want to attend Space Camp. The schools return the essays to our committee, which reviews them and selects a winning student.
